Renal Failure Home Healthcare

Renal failure or kidney failure describes a medical condition in which the kidneys fail to adequately filter toxins and waste products from the blood. Symptoms can vary from person to person.

Your doctor will tell you what you should eat or not eat to reduce the buildup of toxins normally handled by the kidneys. Your care provider may help you stay on the diet recommended by your physician.

If dialysis is needed your Renal Failure Home Healthcare provider can help with travel care assistance services on the dialysis trips.

The care provider will assist patients with the activities of daily living:

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Toileting
  • Transferring
  • Ambulating (walking)
  • Continence care and feeding (as needed by the patient and recommended by their physician)
  • Medication reminders
  • Run errands
  • Light housekeeping
  • Accompany to doctor’s appointments
  • Monitor for gross behavioral changes
  • Help to maintain safety
  • Passive exercises

More Renal Falure information and support can be found at the NCBI (National Center for Biotechnology Information).
